Dive In
by Hubert Tubbs

Hubert Tubbs started singing at 6 years old - and that was the start of his musical career. He was drafted into the army where again he sang to friends and to himself while serving in the Viet Nam War. He received an honorable discharge from the army. After Viet Nam he moved to Northern California and started a 10 piece band with two other singers, Chuck and Tony Norman. The Band was called Blue Mountain and got pretty well know in the San Francisco Bay Area. Within 5 yrs the band was opening for such well known acts like, Buddy Miles, Sons of Chaplain, Santana, Steve Miller, Boz Scaggs, and Tower of Power. When an opportunity came up for him to sing lead vocals with Tower of Power he took it, which opened the doors to traveling, singing and meeting even more famous artists and producers; Quincy Jones, Joe Sample, Herbie Hancock, The Rolling Stones, The Jazz Crusaders and many others. Although he has sung on many record, this is Hubert Tubbs' first solo album and it does a great job of showcasing this talented singer's versatility and finesse.

Live at the Dinosaur BBQ
Steve Guyger

Steve Guyger is a Philly-based harp player & singer. If you like the way guys played harp in the 50s & 60s, you'll love Guyger's work. His harp work is incredibly deep & soulful, and the difficulty of what he does will sneak up on you. Steve is also blessed with a burnished voice that he uses with great skill to help push the emotions of his songs across to the listener. What you are going to get is deep, emotional, heartfelt playing that is at the same time technically difficult. Oh, did I forget to mention that his harp tone is HUGE? It's like the Grand Canyon, baby! this album was recorded live at the Dinosaur in Syracuse, NY in 1998.
